Follow these instructions to successfully connect the MP200 to the USAePay RetailPOS iOS app so you can process mobile payments through your Apple device.
Connect to your mobile device
How to connect Bluetooth:
- Turn on the device and wait for it to boot up
- Hold down the Bluetooth button until the device requests a PIN
- Go to the Bluetooth Settings on your phone or tablet
- Look for your MP200 in the list of nearby devices followed by a 4-digit number (last 4 of the serial number) and click on the device
- Enter the PIN that appears on your mobile device into the MP200
- The MP200 will display a green checkmark and your mobile devices will show the MP200 as connected/paired
How to connect Wi-Fi:
- Turn on the device and wait for it to boot up
- Hold down the Wi-Fi button on the device until it beeps twice
- When the Main Menu appears, select 1 Settings
- Select 2 Manage Wi-Fi
- Select the number of the network you wish to use (If your network does not appear, press the red X button to go back and select 3 Rescan Wi-Fi)
- Enter your password (Your network must be secured with a password for this device. An open guest WIFI network with no password will not work.)
Add the device in the app
Register the device:
- Open the iOS app on your mobile device
- Go to Settings > Devices
- Scroll down to Cloud Devices
- Click Manage Cloud Devices
- Click + to add a device
- Create a device name (example - MP200)
- Select Device Type = Standalone
- Click Register Device
- A six-digit pairing code will display on the screen
Pairing
How to pair the device to the Device Manager:
- The screen on your MP200 should prompt for a pairing code
- Use the keys on the device to type in the six-digit pairing code from USAePay
- Click the green OK button
- Once connected, you should see Welcome
How to access the Main Menu on the device:
Hold down the 9-key until it beeps twice to pull up the Main Menu.
- Settings - change the connection type, change Wi-Fi networks, switch to sandbox mode, turn off keypad sounds, unpair the device
- Device Information - locate the mode, build, deployment, device, and Wi-Fi network. This information may be requested for support cases.
- Check for Update - if you select this option and the device reverts to the Main Menu, there are no pending updates to run.
